MENTAL HEALTH IN FAITH COMMUNITIES
This annual initiative aims to bring local mental health resources and members of local faith communities together for a day of learning, asking questions, and networking. Places of worships and faith leaders tend to be first responders to needs that arise in the community. Currently, about 1 in 4 adults live wtih a mental health condition (CDC). We want to equip faith groups with knowledge about signs and symptoms of a mental health condition or crisis and the appropriate resources in the community.
